Rapid Fire Book Tag

I’ve never done a book tag before and this one seems straight-forward enough. If you’ve done this or any other tag post, let me know so I can have a look!

E-Book or Physical Book?
Nothing beats having a pretty bookshelf full of physical books

Paperback or Hardback?
They’re way cheaper and also less likely to accidentally hurt yourself with

Online or In-Store Book Shopping?
I’m notorious for spending hours in a book shop browsing – it’s all part of the reading experience

Trilogies or Series?
It honestly depends on how invested I am in the story – sometimes series get way too long but sometimes trilogies just aren’t enough

Heroes or Villains?
I know you’re supposed to hate villains but sometimes I really really hate them, but I love a good day-saving hero

A book you want everyone to read?
I’ll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson

Recommend an underrated book?
The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

The last book you finished?
Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton

The Last Book You Bought?
The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank

Weirdest Thing You’ve Used as a Bookmark?
Food probably

Used Books: Yes or No?
I usually prefer to buy new copies, though there is something to be said for buying a book where you can see it was well-loved

Top Three Favourite Genres?
Romance, Fantasy, Dystopian

Borrow or Buy?
I hate borrowing books for fear of damaging them. I always take good care of books but wouldn’t want to risk it.

Characters or Plot?
I’ve always thought that both are equally as important – I won’t find a book I love that doesn’t have a good balance

Long or Short Books?
A shorter book means I don’t have to wait as long to get onto the next book – there’s just so many I need to read

Long or Short Chapters?
I get through books sooo much quicker when they have shorter chapters

Name The First Three Books You Think Of…
The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski, Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff, Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

Books That Make You Laugh or Cry?
Both for sure

Our World or Fictional Worlds?
This could only be considered a real question if our world had Jace Wayland or Alec Lightwood

Audiobooks: Yes or No?
I always prefer a physical copy, but definitely want to try and listen to some audiobooks in the future

Do You Ever Judge a Book by its Cover?
Yes, absoluely – it rarely effects whether I buy the book or not, but I’m always attracted to a gorgeous cover

Book to Movie or Book to TV Adaptations?
There’s so many more opportunities and possibilities to make it really unique and special

A Movie or TV-Show You Preferred to its Book?
Naomi and Ely’s No Kiss List – I found the book to be excruciatingly boring, but loved the movie (especially the cast)

Series or Standalone’s
Series are great to immerse yourself in a world with amazing characters, but sometimes I just want a short, fun novel that won’t take long to read but is still great
